7. Fear of the
Lion and the Elephant
Once upon a time, a
discussion was going on between a lion, the king of the forest, and his friend,
elephant, who was the inhabitant of the same forest. They were talking about
their great deeds. Then suddenly, the lion disclosed his fear of the crowing of
cocks. The elephant started ridiculing him. Just then, a small mosquito started
circling around the elephant's ears making him restless and anxious. The
elephant was really scared of its humming that made him perplexed. Now it was
the turn of the lion to be amused at the elephant’s action.
Moral: Sometime our fear is
baseless.
