Thirty Gold Coins
A very selfish and
greedy man Harmu went to his kind friend Ramu to tell his misery of losing
thirty gold coins. After some days, Ramu's daughter told his father that she
found a bag containing 30 gold coins. Ramu's benevolent nature made her return
that bag to Harmu. But Harmu refused to take it by saying that his daughter had
stolen 10 coins. There were 40 coins in the bag. A dire situation of quibble
led
them to the court, where the judge called
Ramu's daughter by considering upon the whole matter and asked her to reveal
the truth. “I had found only 30 coins,” the girl replied. The judge observed,
“Since she has found a bag of 30 coins, so this bag does belong to Ramu's
daughter.” Then Harmu confessed that he lied and he lost thirty gold coins but
the judge did not listen to him.
