Wolf came! Wolf came!
Once upon a time,
a shepherd boy looked after a flock of sheep. One day, he got into rut while
driving the sheep and decided to play a trick on the dwellers of the village.
He shouted, “Wolf came! Wolf came.” The villagers heard his cries and threw
themselves towards him to help the shepherd boy. When they approached him, the
villagers went ballistic not to find any wolf over there. He laughed mockingly
at them, “Ha, Ha, Ha! I be fooled all of you; I was only playing a trick on
you.” The villagers funningly returned back. A few days later, the boy played
the same trick and cried, “Wolf! Wolf.” Again as usual, they found nothing and
in rage returned back. The shepherd befooled villagers many a time. The
villagers found him mischievous. Once a wolf really arrived in the field and
attacked one of the sheep of the shepherd. The boy cried for help but no
villagers went to help him. When they came, it was too late to save many of his
sheep.
