21. No Monkey Business #Inspirational Moral Stories
There was an old woman who lived with her grand-daughter.
She worked hard every day to make both ends meet and feed her. Her
grand-daughter was a lazy girl. One day, the girl was hungry. "Why haven't
you served me food?" she asked. Her grandmother said, "I am cooking,
my dear. Wait for a while. And while you wait, have these apples." The
girl threw the apples at her grandmother. The Fairy of Manners happened to be
passing by. She saw whatever had happened. She pointed her wand at the unruly
girl and said, "Let's teach you some manners!" Lo and behold! The
little girl had turned into a monkey. When the girl's friends saw her, they
threw stones at her. The fairy turned them into monkeys as well. But the grandmother
took pity on them. The monkeys promised to be good and the fairy turned them
back to their human form.
