24. Georgina and the Genie #Inspirational Moral Stories
Georgina had a brother named Joel. He always teased her. He
broke her dolls and ate her favourite pastries. One day, Georgina saw Joel
scribbling in her colouring book. Georgina was angry. That day, Georgina's
mother went to an antique shop and took her along. Georgina was fascinated by
the items on display. A small lamp caught her fancy. She bought it and rubbed
away what looked like a spot of dirt. Immediately, a genie appeared. "What's
your wish?" he asked. "I don't want my brother!" cried Georgina.
When she got home, Joel was nowhere. She was happy. But after some time, she
got bored. There was no one to pull her pigtails and no one to scare her from
behind the curtains. She missed Joel. Georgina rubbed the lamp and the genie
appeared. "I want Joel!" she cried. The genie obeyed. Georgina hugged
Joel and said, "I missed you!"
Moral of the Story: The moral of the story is that sometimes, annoying or
difficult people can also be missed and valued when they are not around.
