27. Brave Annabel #Inspirational Moral Stories
Annabel was returning from the grocery shop, when she
stopped and began counting her money. A thief saw her. He wanted to rob Annabel
of her money. So, he told her, "Oh! There you are! Aren't you the one who
spoke ill of me to your neighbour last year?" "Which neighbour? I did
not even live in this area last year," Annabel replied. "Then it must
have been your sister," said the thief. "I do not have a sister.
Clearly, you're a liar," Annabel said. "Don't try to fool me,"
said the thief, and he snatched the money. Now Annabel was not too strong, but
she had presence of mind. She grabbed the thief and screamed, "Thief! Thief!"
The noise caught the attention of the people near by. They came running and
gave the thief a good hiding. She took her money away and left after reporting
him to the police.
