44. Talent Shines #Inspirational Moral Stories
Dorothy was a quiet girl. She was well behaved. But the
children of her class teased her because she wore braces and spectacles.
Dorothy kept away from everyone and always concentrated on her studies. One
day, the music teacher walked into the class and said, "I will select singers
for the school choir team today." Then she called each and every student
and made them sing. Dorothy felt nervous when it was her turn. But the teacher
insisted she would sing in front of everyone. When she sang, the whole class
was awestruck. The teacher said, "You sing so well! You shall lead the
team." Dorothy was happy. The teacher added, "I know the rest of the
children tease you because you wear braces. It's not good to make fun of people
for the way they look, but it takes strength of character to recognise their
talent. Don't judge a book by its cover."
Moral of the Story: The story teaches us not to judge people based on their
appearance and to recognize and appreciate their hidden talents.
