Frances was a teacher. One day, she was teaching her
students about the power of words and positive thinking. There was a girl named
Sue in her class. She was always rude to the other children. Sue said,
"What is so powerful about words? Can words change anything?" Frances
said, "Yes, a lot can change with words and thoughts." But Sue said,
"No, I will not have bad luck if I keep saying 'Bad luck,' nor will I have
good luck if I say so." Frances said, "You are an ignorant person who
does not deserve to be in my class." The girl was hurt. She stared at Frances
in shock. Then Frances smiled and said, "My harsh words hurt you, didn't they?
I just wanted to give you an example of how powerful words are." Sue
realised the power of words. She was never rude to anyone again.
