68. Snuffles the Lovable #Inspirational Moral Stories
Beatrice had a pet cat named Snuffles. When Beatrice was
near, Snuffles was well behaved. But as soon as her back was turned, she would
scratch the floor, tear the sofa and damage the furniture. She was always up to
something. One day, Beatrice had to visit a friend. Before she left, she said, "Don't
be naughty." Snuffles had the house all to herself. She went behind the
television-set and began to chew the wire. Then she jumped on the windowsill
and toppled the vase, which came crashing on the floor. Then she ran into
Beatrice's room. There, she saw a lace top on a hanger. She began tugging at it
and tore it into shreds. Beatrice came home and saw the mess. "You tore my
lace top!" she screamed. Then she fainted. When Beatrice woke up, Snuffles
was snuggling against her nose. "You're so naughty, but I just can't stop
loving you," smiled Beatrice.
