76. A Mouthful of Water #Inspirational Moral Stories
Daisy was a talkative lady. She was always complaining
about someone or something. One day, she went to the family doctor and
complained about her husband's bad temper. "My husband loses his temper
for no reason and I don't know what to do," she said. The doctor said, 'Just
do as I say. The next time he gets angry, you should take a mouthful of water,
but take care not to swallow it until he calms down or leaves the place."
Some days later, Daisy went to the doctor again. The doctor asked her,
"Did you follow my advice whenever your husband lost his temper?"
Daisy said, "Your idea worked wonders! Every time he got angry, I took a
mouthful of water and took care not to gulp it down. Soon, he would calm down.
Does water have magical properties?" "No, it's keeping quiet that
solves the problem," said the doctor.
Moral of the Story: The story conveys the importance of staying calm and not
reacting to anger with more anger, as maintaining composure can help diffuse
tense situations.
