86. The Night of Darkness #Inspirational Moral Stories
Bobby was afraid of the dark. Her parents tried to make her
understand that there was really nothing to be scared of in the dark, but she
would never listen to them. She always told them, "Please keep the lights
on at night. Otherwise, I cannot fall asleep." Once, Bobby went to visit
her grandparents in their village. After a few days, a storm hit their village.
There was a power cut in the whole village. Bobby was in a fix. She ran to her
grandparents and hid under the sheets. Bobby's grandmother said, "What are
you scared of? Relax, dear." Her grandfather said, "Look Bobby, we
are near you. Don't be afraid." Bobby spent the whole night in darkness.
Slowly, her fear began to vanish. She realised that everyone had been right.
There wasn't anything to be afraid of. From that day onwards, she was not
afraid of the dark anymore.
Moral of the Story: Facing one's fears can lead to overcoming them and realizing
they were not as frightening as imagined.
