100. The Search for Happiness #Inspirational Moral Stories
Maud was an old woman. She was often in a bad mood. She
spent her day complaining all the time. When she was not complaining, she would
be grumbling under her breath. Everyone was tired of seeing her this way. Maud
was so unhappy about everything in her life that her neighbours avoided talking
to her. One day, Maud turned 80 and something unbelievable happened. Her
neighbours noticed that she was not complaining anymore. She was always happy
and cheerful. That day, Maud invited the whole neighbourhood to her
birthday party. All her neighbours went to offer her their good wishes. One of
her neighbours asked her, "You have become so different. You are so much
more cheerful nowadays. What happened to you?" Maud replied,"For
eighty years, I had been searching for happiness, but it was useless. Now I
have decided to enjoy life and spread happiness." Soon, Maud became her
neighbours' favourite.
Moral of the Story: Happiness often comes from within, and a positive outlook on
life can change one's perspective and relationships with others.
