112. The Fancy Dress Competition #Inspirational Moral Stories
Della's parents were very poor. Yet, they wanted the best
for their daughter. They worked hard to send her to a good school. Della did
not let her parents down. She studied well. Some of Della's classmates did not
speak to her because she was from a poor family. But that did not deter Della
from pursuing her goal. She never complained. One day, the teacher announced
that there would be a fancy dress competition in school. But Della knew that
her parents could not afford a new dress, so she did not tell them about the
competition. But one of Della's friends told her mother about the competition.
Della's mother wanted to surprise her. So, she stitched a new dress for her and
gave it to her on the day of the competition. Della wore the dress to the fancy
dress competition and won the first prize.
