113. The Letters #Inspirational Moral Stories
Marguerite's father was a soldier. He stayed away from home
for months at a time, protecting the country's borders. Marguerite missed her
father a lot on festivals and her birthday. But her mother always told her,
"You are the brave daughter of a brave man. You should not be
disheartened. Your father is doing an important job, protecting the country. You
must never be sad about it." Marguerite replied, "Mother, I am not
sad. But I wish I could help him in some way." One day, Marguerite had an
idea. She told all her classmates about the life of soldiers and the difficult
job they had, away from their families. All the children in her class wanted to
help the soldiers too. They decided to write letters to the soldiers, thanking
them for protecting them at all times. When the soldiers received the letters
from the children, they were thrilled and inspired.
Moral of the Story: Small acts of gratitude and kindness can make a big
difference in the lives of those who sacrifice for the greater good.
