121. Attitude of Gratitude #Inspirational Moral Stories
Audrey was always complaining. On some days, she didn't
have enough clothes. On other days, the gifts she received were all wrong. On
yet another days, the food that her mother prepared wasn't tasty at all. A
fairy lived in Audrey's garden. One day, she heard her complaining about her
doll. She appeared before Audrey and said, "Life is so harsh on you, isn't
it?" Audrey agreed. The fairy said, "Come with me," and she
swished her wand in the air. Audrey saw herself in the midst of beggars, who
were dressed in tatters. They were thankful for every morsel that came their
way. Then the fairy took Audrey to a hospital, where patients were dying of
illnesses. They were thankful for having loved ones near by. Then the fairy
took Audrey to an orphanage, where the children received every gift with
thanks. After that day, Audrey was always thankful for everything in life.
Moral of the Story: The story teaches us the importance of gratitude and
appreciating what we have in life rather than constantly complaining about what
we lack.
