127. Good Night, Bernadine! #Inspirational Moral Stories
Bernadine was sitting in the balcony with her mother. He
said, "Mommy, the night sky is so beautiful. The stars are shining so
brightly. I wish I could reach them!" Her mother smiled at her daughter
and went to her room. Bernadine continued to gaze at the stars for long. An owl
hooted from a nearby tree. Bernadine asked him, "Tell me how I can reach
the stars, Mr Owl!" The owl replied, "Climb on my back. I'll fly high
and you can touch the stars." Bernadine climbed up the tree and reached
the owl. But the branch broke and Bernadine landed on the ground with a thud.
Just then, Bernadine shouted, "Mr
Owl, where are you?" Her mother came rushing to the room and said,
"You must have been dreaming, my dear. There is no owl here." Bernadine
rubbed her eyes and went back to sleep, while her mother kissed her good night.
Moral of the Story: The story teaches us that some dreams and wishes may be
unattainable or unrealistic, and it's important to appreciate the beauty of the
world around us without constantly striving for the impossible.
