Alexis and her parents were planning to go to France during
their vacation. Alexis was very excited. She kept thinking about all the places
she would visit. "We will have lots. of fun, won't we, Mother?" she would
ask again and again. When they boarded the flight, her mother asked her whether
she had heard about the Eiffel Tower in Paris. She explained, "It is made
of iron and is the tallest structure in the whole world." "Will we go
to see it?" asked Alexis. Her mother replied, "Yes. But the tower is
so tall that you will have to bend backwards to see it." When they reached
Paris, they checked into a hotel and freshened up. Then they went sightseeing.
They saw the Arc De Triomphe and the Tuileries Garden. When they went to see
the Eiffel Tower, Alexis bent backwards until she almost fell. Alexis and her
parents had a good laugh.
