The Fruit of True Devotion
Welcome to the inspiring story of Dhruv, a young boy whose unwavering devotion to Lord Vishnu earned him a place in the heavens, teaching us the value of faith and perseverance.
Introduction
King Uttanapad had two wives, Suniti and Suruchi. Suniti had a son, Dhruv, and Suruchi had a son, Uttam. Though Suniti was calm and mature, the King loved Suruchi more than Suniti. One day, Dhruv wanted to sit on his father's lap, but Suruchi cruelly told him that he would have to be reborn as her son to do so. The King did not stop Suruchi's harsh words.
Dhruv's Determination
Dhruv was deeply hurt by the incident and went to his mother, Suniti, who advised him to pray to Lord Vishnu for help. Despite his young age, Dhruv went into the forest to meditate, ignoring hunger, thirst, and fear of the wild animals. He prayed with full devotion to Lord Vishnu.
The Divine Blessing
After years of intense meditation, Lord Vishnu appeared before Dhruv and asked him to make a wish. Dhruv, filled with pure devotion, asked for a place from which no one would ever ask him to get down again.
